Indians Derik Lowe Throws Shutout Without a Strikeout

On Tuesday, Indians Derik Lowe became the first pitcher to throw a shutout without a strikeout since 2002 when Baltimore Orioles’ Scott Erickson threw a shutout without a strikeout against the Kansas City Royals.

In the shutout, Derik Lowe, who many felt was done at the beginning of this season, through 127 pitches. The game was Lowe’s tenth complete game in his career with the last occurring on August 26, 2008. In completing the game, Lowe threw 120 sinking fastballs.

When it comes to alcoholic drinks I like to stick to the light fruity side. My favorite drink is a strawberry daiquiri. All you need is a little bit of rum, some strawberry schnapps, sugar, lime juice, and strawberries. I love this drink because not only can I order it anywhere I want, but I can also make it from home. It can even be made without the alcohol for all those that don’t drink or can’t drink at the time. It is one drink that can be loved as a child and with a little bit of adjustment loved as an adult too.

Sixers Shock Boston

The 8th seed Philadelphia 76ers were able to down the Boston Celtics as they are running hot after defeating the Chicago Bulls. Evan Turner was able to make two clutch free throws in the end of the game despite late three pointers by Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett to get within one point of the Sixers. Both teams played hard throughout the game but the Sixers were victorious as Jrue Holiday led the team with 18 points while Ray Allen was able to score 17.
